Here are some frequently asked questions we get.

As a custom home builder, this question is one that we are asked constantly. It will depend greatly on your plans and specifications of your project. Technically speaking, we don’t have a set charge per square metre, and our margin is generally the same as any other custom home builder. As you can imagine there are a lot of variables when it comes to building a new house or renovating, and it’s not as simple as working out the average square metre price and multiplying by the size of the project – it’s far more complicated than that.

Whether you are building 25sqm’s or 100sqm’s, every build we complete is individual, custom designed, and is quoted to your exact drawings and specifications. This is why it is important to provide us with as much information as possible. Your design, specifications, and block of land will determine the cost of your new home. The same would apply for design of a renovation to an existing property.

There are many variables and items when it comes to building your house, such as the structure, scale of the build and the finishes. The complexity of the structure can add large costs in some instances. For example, large clear spans will require more engineering and steel work, which therefore can be more expensive to build. The scale of the house may also be reduced to make some savings, and when it comes to the finishes you can save some money by choosing more affordable finishes.

This will depend on our current workload, and how ready your documentation is to obtain a building permit.

Absolutely, this is your choice entirely. We can suggest a building surveyor, however the final decision is up to you.
